The Team of British Instructors

The Mint team of snowboard instructors all have the highest level of snowboard qualification with the British Association of Snowsport Instructors and each have years of teaching experience from around the world. We are not only passionate about our sport, but also about teaching it.

The Mint snowboard instructors provide you with the latest tuition methods along with easy to understand techniques to ensure you progress to the best of your ability, quickly and safely… and most importantly have fun!

Lessons can be given in either English or French.

Tammy Esten

Tammy started snowboarding back in the days of using ski boots and hard bindings and wearing neon. She immediately got the bug and is now on winter season no. 14 having spent winters in Italy, Canada, France, New Zealand and Switzerland. She started instructing 9 years ago and holds the top British snowboard qualification.

Grant Gallacher

Grant began riding in 1990, age 10, on a 163 with hard boots in soft bindings! In 1999 he began studies for an HND in outdoor sports coaching as well as the BASI snowboard instructor qualifications. Grant spent many seasons teaching at Loon Mountain, even winning new pro of the year at Mt.Snow, Vermont! Now back in UK Grant works in outdoor education as well as being Minty ever since :)

Dave Cooper

Dave has been riding and instructing for over ten years since he first got hooked on snowboarding. Spending winters in France, NewZealand and the USA. He is still shredding hard and loves it as much today as when he first started.

David Gladwin

David started snowboarding when he was 6 and fortunately has improved considerably... He is totally hooked on the mountains and when he is not snowboarding he can be found mountaineering in the Alps and the greater ranges of the world.

Mikael Philippe Spilthooren

One of the keenest snowboarders you will ever meet, Mikael has been snowboarding for 14 years, spending winters in France and Switzerland. His motivation quickly rubs off on those he is teaching, whether they are on the beginner slopes or hitting the black kickers! Mikael is French, but a fluent English speaker.
