Bored of cruising the pistes? This is a fun orientated session aimed at getting you using terrain in a new way and making of the great parks available in Avoriaz. We will equip you with the basics of freestyle snowboarding which can include jumps, halfpipe, rails & flat land tricks.
Level required: intermediate riders (level 3 +)
Turning with Confidence
Aimed at those who have already tried snowboarding but are not yet able to turn consistently in both directions on easy runs. We will give you the technical skills and confidence to get you cruising down the slopes, relaxed and at a slightly faster pace.
Level required: level 2
Learning to carve a snowboard is fundamental to becoming an advanced rider. This session will teach you how to take advantage of the construction of the snowboard in order to carve a clean track around the turn rather than skidding the board. This will allow you to reach greater speeds using more efficient techniques whilst making fluid, rounded turns.
Level required: tackle red runs fairly confidently (level 3 +)
Snowboarders often come into difficulty as the terrain gets steeper and bumpier and when snow conditions are less than ideal. The aim of this session is to help you to control your speed and to make confident, flowing turns in both directions on more difficult terrain.
Level required: tackle red runs fairly confidently (level 3 +)
