Carving
Learning how to carve a
snowboard is fundamental to improving your riding and becoming an
advanced rider. This session will teach you how to take advantage
of the construction of the snowboard in order to carve a clean track
around the turn rather than skidding the board. This will allow you to
reach greater speeds using more efficient techniques whilst making fluid, rounded turns.
Level required: tackle red runs fairly confidently (level 3 +)
Steep and varied terrain
While many snowboarders
can happily cruise on gentle runs, riders often come into difficulty as
the terrain gets steeper and bumpier. The aim of this session is to help you to control your speed and to make flowing turns in both directions on more difficult terrain.
Level required: tackle red runs fairly confidently (level 3 +)
Introduction to Freestyle
This is a fun orientated
session aimed at riders who are looking to be a bit more adventurous on
the slopes and to make the most of the great parks available in
Morzine/Avoriaz. We will equip you with the basics of freestyle
snowboarding, from which you can progress throughout the rest of your
holiday. This session can include jumps, halfpipe, rails & flat land tricks.
Level required: intermediate riders (level 3 +)
